I think that you have to be a friend and a parent at the same time. You have to find a good balance, and like the above poster said...sometimes that can really be difficult!

With our first child, when she was about 2 or so she would talk to herself in the mirror. I don't know if that counts or not! But, she was convinced that she was talking to someone, and not just seeing her reflection in the mirror. It was adorable!

Yep, we definitely do Santa Claus at our house. I don't know how we couldn't. Both my wife and I were brought up believing in Santa and remember the happiness and joy it brought to us. Why wouldn't we do the same for our children?
